The NV3550 transmission is a solid choice for swapping into early Ford Broncos due to its compatibility in size and weight with the stock 3 and 4-speed transmissions. Rated at 300 ft./lbs. at 7200 GVW, its torque handling capacity is even higher when installed in a Bronco due to the vehicle's lower weight. The NV3550 features a 4:1 low first gear and 0.22% overdrive, making it highly versatile for both on-road and off-road driving. While the NV3550 is no longer in production, TOMS OFFROAD continues to support it. Additionally, TOMS OFFROAD now offers an alternative swap kit for the AX15 transmission, providing Bronco owners with another viable transmission option.
