Just finished installing a new heater core in my 1973 Bronco.. The heater core from TBPs fit perfectly and works great. No more leaks, just warm air. In addition to the heater core, I did order the heater hose kit 6438. I could tell that the previous owner of my Bronco had repaired parts of the heater hose lines. Because of the several 90 degree bends in the heater hoses, they had cobbled together bits and pieces from other hoses and even used some copper pipe to make things work. The hoses weren't leaking, but they sure did look ugly. I also opted for the T-bolt clamp kit (6439), which gave a very clean appearance to the hose installation. The one other thing I also ordered was a new heater control valve (6455). My original metal control valve had corroded and required some effort to open and close it. So I thought a new one would be a good investment. A few words of advice. First, take out your heater box before you order a new heater core. I didn't want my Bronco out of commission while I waited on the new parts to be shipped from TBPs. So I waited until I had the new parts in hand before I removed the heater box. As a result, once I had the box out, I realized I also needed new gaskets (6420) and a new heater box inlet bellows (6437). Fortunately, I had some extra gasket material laying around so I was able to replicate the gaskets I needed. For the inlet bellows, the holes in my bellows were on the back side and not visible, so I used good old Gorilla tape to patch the holes. One other note. Once you have everything disconnected from the heater box (hoses, vent hoses, control cables etc), if it doesn't come out easily, something is still attached somewhere. I over looked the small clamp holding the defroster cable to the box and ended up putting a kink in the cable when trying to pull out the box. I was able to straighten it out so no harm done. Also that same pesky bracket wants to snag on every wire under the dash, so go slowly. Again, I was very happy with the new core, hoses, clamps and control valve. Hope this helps.
