This electric fan controller is a slick add-on for running electric cooling fans. It can plug into a Dakota Digital system control box to read engine temp and vehicle speed without adding another sender in the engine. It was designed for the ultimate in flexibility and to be a simple add-on in any application using an electric fan. Included is a 70amp relay, enough for even the most power hungry of cooling fans. Fully programmable, this fan controller pack will work with your existing water temp gauge, operating from the temperature sending unit already installed. A dedicated sending unit can be installed for applications without a water temp gauge. OBD II compatible vehicles can obtain the engine temperature from the ECM with the use of our part #0947ODB, purchased separately.
When used in conjunction with BIM-compatible Dakota Digital instrumentation, a single cable transfers speed and temperature data to the fan controller pack allowing the fan to be shut off at an adjustable highway speed! This fan controller is now Bluetooth enabled for use with mobile programming/setup app! Features an LED readout for simple programming.
This item features fully programmable FAN ON and FAN OFF temperatures to suit any application or personal preferences. It has the capability to leave the electric fan operating after the engine has been shut down for a user adjustable time. This unit also offers a full digital LED readout for displaying temperature readings and maintaining simple installation. A second relay is required for dual fan or two speed fan operation.
Box measures 4 inches wide, 2.5 inches high, 1 inch thick. Mounting is recommended inside the cab of the vehicle or an alternate dry environment.
Fan Temperature Selection Range: 150F- 250F
Autometer full-sweep electronic water temperature gauges will require the use of a dedicated Dakota Digital temp sensor.
**The use of a second relay (0-30 amp) or (0-70 amp) will be required for dual fan or two speed fan operation. (not included)
