Frequently Asked Questions

1. Did VIVA Chassis used to be Viva Broncos?

Yes, well, sort of. In March of 2022, Viva Broncos was sold and moved to Indiana, where Josh Butcher now holds the reins and has rebranded the company to VIVA Chassis. Later in the year, we partnered with VIVA Chassis to collaborate on bringing our own early Ford Bronco rolling chassis to the market, incorporating some of our highest-quality products. Josh plans to honor and build upon the legacy of Viva Broncos with his own VIVA Chassis.

2. How customizable is the chassis?

Highly! You’ll be able to select upgrades (either for an additional cost upfront or be given a quote) on most major build aspects, as well as be able to contribute your own frame or wheels/tires.

3. Can I supply my own frame*?

Yes! If you already have a frame, you can ship it (at your own expense) to VIVA Chassis in Wabash, IN, where they will quote you for the sandblasting, refurbishing, and powder coating work it may require.

* New frames are supplied by Throttle Down Kustoms.

4. Are all components new?

Most build components are new, and if they are not, they are professionally rebuilt (e.g., t-case and some transmissions).

5. How does the VIN tag process work?

Each chassis comes with a custom VIN tag including the build number and is designed to be mounted to the frame. If you already have a VIN number, VIVA Chassis can have the VIN stamped on the tag for you. If you do not already have a VIN, you will still receive the tag stamped with the build number that you can add the VIN on your end once you receive one.

6. What is the lead time for a TOMS OFFROAD x VIVA rolling chassis?

It depends, of course, on the options selected, whether or not you are providing your own frame, and lead times from the other suppliers.

7. What is the purchasing procedure for ordering my rolling chassis?

TOMS OFFROAD will collect a $500 reservation hold for the purchase of this chassis. This hold is fully refundable within 30 days. After 30 days, a $50 processing charge will be assessed toward canceled reservations. This reservation hold will be applied toward the total purchase price of your rolling chassis. The remainder of the purchase price will be collected directly by VIVA Chassis. All requested quotes for upgrades will be quoted directly by VIVA Chassis.

8. How are the chassis registered?

The chassis is that of a 1966-1977 Ford Bronco. How to title and register your completed Bronco varies and depends on the state. Usually, a newly built vehicle without a VIN will need to be inspected by your local DMV to receive a new VIN prior to being titled and registered. We encourage customers to research the requirements within their own state.
