This steel rear/main fuel tank is a direct replica of the original factory fuel tank used in 1966-76 Classic Ford Broncos. Manufactured exclusively for TOMS OFFROAD, this OE-style tank is constructed from galvanized steel to provide excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. The tank offers approximately 13 gallons of fuel capacity and is designed to fit just like the factory original.

At TOMS OFFROAD, we developed this OE-style steel fuel tank to solve a common issue found with aftermarket polyurethane Bronco fuel tanks. Those tanks were prone to leaking around the fuel sending unit due to the use of mounting screws that could penetrate the plastic during installation. This steel tank eliminates that problem by using a factory-style sending unit and lock ring, creating a secure seal and preventing leaks.

Additional Notes

Silver paint is applied only to cover the welded seam areas where the tank is tack welded. The silver coating may not cover the entire tank. The remaining surfaces may be bare galvanized steel, which provides rust protection without additional coating.
