66-77 Ford Bronco Window Glass

Tom's Offroad carries windshield glass, door glass, and rear window glass for the 1966–1977 early Bronco. Replacement glass is available in clear and tinted options. The early Bronco's windshield is a flat glass unit, while the door glass is flat-cut tempered glass. Correct gaskets and seals for windshield and window installation are also available.

Replacing an early Bronco windshield involves cutting or pulling the old rubber gasket out of the channel, cleaning the frame thoroughly, and setting the new glass with a fresh rubber seal. A second person is needed to guide the glass from outside while it's secured from inside. Apply a bead of sealant at the gasket edges to prevent water intrusion.

Installing door glass in an early Bronco requires removing the door panel and inner vapor barrier, lowering the window regulator to its lowest position, removing the vent window and other components. Basically, the door glass is the last to come out upon disassembly and first to go back in on reassembly. Adjust the glass run channel felt strips for proper alignment before reinstalling the door panel. Tom's Offroad carries both glass and run channel felts.

Yes, tinted replacement glass is available for the early Bronco's windshield, hardtop and door glass positions. Factory-tinted glass has a light green or gray tint cast into the glass itself rather than applied as film, providing a period-correct appearance while reducing heat and glare, normally just the windshield. Darker tint options are available for the door and hartop glass. For additional privacy and heat rejection, aftermarket window film can be applied over clear or lightly tinted glass.

The rear window on the early Bronco is a fixed pane set into the hard top or half cab top using a rubber gasket similar to the windshield. It's a flat glass unit with no roll-down mechanism. Replacement rear glass for the early Bronco is available through Tom's Offroad and is installed the same way as the windshield, gasket first, then glass seated into the channel with a cord-pull technique.
