Broncos and Classic Ford Trucks have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My journey started with a 1965 F100 SWB 2WD, my first truck, which I sold shortly after turning 16 to buy my dad’s 1979 F150 4x4. I was always drawn to these vehicles. One of my father's friends had a yellow 1967 Bronco that he’d drive over on nice days, and I remember how much I loved that truck. In high school, my best friend Matt Hardy bought a 1975 Bronco Ranger. It quickly became the vehicle of choice for every adventure. Since Matt was a couple of years older and got his license when I was still in eighth grade, I rode along with him on countless trips, fishing, hunting, and camping, all in that Bronco.
After high school, I enrolled in college with plans to become a high school teacher and coach, but life had other ideas. Following my parents’ divorce, I moved home at the end of my junior year to help my mom. Around that time, Matt was working at TOMS OFFROAD and offered to get me a part-time job. I started there in 2005, fully intending to return to school, but something changed. Working under Tom Wimmer, one of the most selfless and inspiring bosses I’ve ever known, I found a new path. I went full-time in 2006, starting in the warehouse doing everything from picking parts and quality control to tearing down used doors, cleaning chrome, and rebuilding latches and regulators, back when these parts weren’t available new.
In 2008, I bought my first Bronco and completed a full frame-off restoration: 5-speed, 351W, 4-wheel disc brakes, power steering, a 5.5" lift with extended arms, and chromoly axles with lockers. I sold it in 2013 after the birth of my first son. Since then, I’ve had several Broncos, including my current project: a 1971 Bronco getting a full restoration with a Coyote swap, 6R80 transmission, coilover suspension, and a full lineup of TOMS OFFROAD parts. Tom was instrumental in helping me get my first Bronco, and he always encouraged employees to own Broncos themselves, knowing the value of having passionate, knowledgeable team members.
In 2010, I became warehouse manager, adding purchasing and product development to my responsibilities. When the company moved locations in 2015, Kevin Astell and I took the lead in preparing the new facility, setting up the warehouse and improving the layout for efficiency and growth. In 2021, I was promoted to Warehouse Director. Then, during another move in 2023, I transitioned into the role of Senior Sales Director, helping to bring technical expertise and hands-on Bronco knowledge to the sales team after the departure of several long-term employees. In 2025, I embraced a new challenge as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, I’m committed to helping lead TOMS OFFROAD forward, preserving the values that built our company while expanding our reach and support across the entire Bronco and Early Ford Truck community.
