EFI Clutch Equalizer Bracket

The reason for using this bracket is that late model 5.0 and 5.8 motors have no provision in the block for the Bronco equalizer engine bracket. The EFI Clutch Equalizer Bracket provides a mounting hole for your Bronco equalizer engine bracket. We have found a few casting variations for late model blocks. In order to install the bracket minimal (5.0) to moderate (5.8) grinding or filing may need to be done to the block in the mounting area.

Instructions

  1. Remove the lowest bolt on the left side of the bell housing.

  2. Use a 7/16” drill bit and drill through the hole where the bolt was removed.

  3. Place the 7/16” x 4” bolt through the hole from the bell housing side.

  4. Test fit the new bracket onto the bolt and push the bracket up to the block. The bracket should sit flat against the block with the bolt hole close to the bell housing. You may see metal casting keeping the bracket from sitting flat. If so you will need to grind this area down in order for the bracket to be located correctly.

  5. Once the bracket is sitting correctly in place test fit the equalizer bracket. The 7/16” washers can be used to space the bracket away from the block towards the front of the motor if necessary.
