Heavy-Duty 9-Inch Rear Axle Housing – 1966–77 Ford Bronco

This new heavy-duty rear axle housing for Ford 9-inch differentials is manufactured exclusively for TOMS OFFROAD. Modeled after the stronger 1977 Ford Bronco housing, this unit features a reinforced center section compared to earlier versions, providing increased durability for high-demand applications.

The housing is designed for use with 11-inch drum or disc brake systems and is an ideal match for our 31-spline axle kits using Set 20 bearings. It can also be used with stock big-bearing Early Bronco axles when paired with a set of TOMS OFFROAD #2935 oil seals. Compatible with both 1966–75 and 1976–77 11-inch drum brake configurations, but all brake components must match the same year range.

Specifications

  • Fits 1966–77 Ford Broncos
  • 53 3/8" flange-to-flange width
  • Patterned after the heavy-duty 1977 Bronco 9-inch housing
