This factory style power brake kit is a great replacement for your worn out 1976-77 Bronco brake booster assembly. Bolts right in place with no modification. This power brake kit includes a new 8 inch dual diaphragm 1400psi power brake booster in black to replicate the factory setup. We feel this is hands down the best power brake booster on the market. This power brake kit also includes a new push rod, bracket, master cylinder and brake lines. This kit can also be used to convert your 1966-75 Bronco to power brakes and will require no fender modification for installation.

NOTE FOR '66 BRONCO OWNERS: If your Bronco currently has a  single reservoir master cylinder, there are a few additional items we recommend purchasing to make sure everything goes together properly:

  • Part no, 1842 - Brake Pedal ('66 brake pedals do not have proper connecting point for brake light switch)
  • Part no. 0980 - Brake Light Switch (Factory '66 brake light switch was part of the master cylinder)

Technical Specs

This vacuum booster requires 18 to 21 inches of vacuum. A healthy 302 Ford V8 will provide 19-21" of vacuum which is ideal for this kit. A normal running 170 Ford 6-cylinder will provide 18" of vacuum which is adequate but on the low end. Broncos with modified cams can run lower on vacuum. In this case, or any time vacuum is not within range, you may need to install a vacuum pump or collector for proper performance. If you are unsure of how much vacuum your engine is providing, it's recommended to perform a vacuum test on it prior to installation.
