23 Gallon Fuel Tank Frame-Mounted Skid Plate System
This frame-mounted skid plate system is the most solid way to mount a 23 gallon fuel tank on your early Bronco. Designed to bolt directly to the frame, this system uses a clamshell-style design to securely cradle the tank while transferring the load to the frame instead of the body.
By eliminating the traditional body-mounted tank straps, this skid plate modernizes your fuel tank setup and provides a rock-solid mounting solution ideal for off-road use. The frame-mounted design greatly improves strength and durability, especially in harsh trail conditions.
This system is also perfect for full builds and chassis projects. With the tank securely mounted to the frame, fuel lines can be installed before the body is set in place, allowing for a more complete rolling chassis during the build process.
